As cities go, Amman is proving to be holding up after what tragedies have struck the heart of her last night. Now that people are trying to calm themselves from the initial state of panic, and are struggling to absorb it all in, the news have changed.
Delivering eloquent critique is beyond the point of this entry. My mother has just received a phone call informing her of bits of intelligence that she had been previously unaware of. An Adiga relative is severley injured, and has lost a lot of blood. This lady was the mother of the bride who, like me, was made up from an Adiga-Arab cocktail.
My cousins were about to enter the hall where the wedding was hosted to join the party. They did not but another Adiga relative was inside and is now injured as well. I can think of ways in which the whole drama could get more personal, but to stick to the reality of the shock I am telling you that I have been to the house of one of those ladies and I have been her guest. My mother, on the other hand, knows both victims closely.
I suppose the maxim of this brief narration is to let you share this sorrow, although sorrow is seldom desirable to receive. Those who fell were real people. I am real; I am sad and writing you of this grief.
Now I am anxious about the outcome of my long-cherished desire for peace, destroyed by a desecrated cowardly act committed by a phantom whose quest as they claim a salvation!!!!
And now I am not worried for peace only but about those loved ones that vanished in a pseudo name of a faith, but mine and the majority find their refuge and salvation in the name of Islam that constitutes peace as its name and goal, I worry lest the faith as it is meant to be protected by its maker, I have not kept these many years believing in peace to prove fruitless? I have no doubt I am real and clear more than the phantom that came by night. When I attempt to live I do live in day light and my seclusion is my believe, I felt dissatisfied and hurt for you Tololy for your grief, and same for many others hurt by the heart or by the flesh, or departed us to set out on pilgrimage modeled for those who lost their lives innocently to be greeted by a more just power it is the domain of God.
To those I have always admired those who suffered and after any test of endurance, they rise by the will of God and prove life is stronger than death, I always wanted to emulate, but never had the test, I may not have been called for yet. Now all my dreams might not prove empty, when I pray for your loss Tololy and to all those in your situation to be rinsed by a divine serenity. Tololy It hurts me to see and feel suffering but it hurts less if I do something about it .To you Toly I wish you peace
