I realize that this might be the very first entry dedicated to food in the Box, and it is not at all, not in any way, particular to Arabic food or to a specific culture. The pictures were taken during a party last week, and the food was heavenly.

amazing food, and delicious i might add, but (dont want to criticize), but dont you think its quite unfair that one party can have food that will be enough to feed couple of families living no more than few kilometers from where this awesome food was served!!?
Oh yes, it is most unfair when the food is thrown away. None of this was, however, and I am delighted to be able to announce that. Helping needy families is a thing one respects and has to manifest, and I do not brag about what I do in public.

Red stuff? hmmm…Well there is Coconut-stuffed-Jell-O that our neighbour made (Check the pictures out on Flickr, there are more details there), and there is Blueberry-topped Cheese cake in the final picture.That’s it I guess.
The red beans are part of a, well, red beans salad. The only dish I myself made. At this point I would like to thank mama, Bushra and Dana for their amazing efforts.
