As long as you are online, then you will have people trying to get some of your personal information. Sometimes they ask for it, but sometimes they steal it, just be thankful that it wasn’t the latter ;-)

It depends on how desperate a blogger is to get linked. Some are so desperate they may not think in such situations.

I believe the oddest bits about the whole affair was their asking for a phone number from a person who blogs under a pseudonym, and the 48 hour time limit. I couldn’t digest the two demands.

I received the same email, and decided to reply. Didn’t give them my phone number though, and was cautious with my answers. One of their contributors was actually my brother’s summer camp counselor many years ago, and some of the other names are familiar to me as well from the Israeli media. I can totally understand why non-Jews and non-Israelis would be suspicious of them. I guess we’ll see what happens now…

I recieved the same one a couple of days ago also. And the questions were just too personal for me!

What organization you work for? and what is your mission? Phone number!?

I checked their website (I’m sure you also did) and most of them turned out to be Israelies, others jews. One of them was even part of the army.

I also wanted to blog about them, but then again I thought it will get them traffic and I wont give them that honour.

I think he doesnt have any rights to ask for a specific details, whatever he is, if he wants any details for his directory I guess name, Blog`s links, and may be a small logo and acceptance of Blog`s owner is enough
more, the Blogging world must not have any Anonymity or it will not be a real “Web Log”
