Let there be light
“Light is Love revealed.
Light is Life manifested.
Light is God fulfilled.”
Lead me from the unreal to the Real.
Lead me from darkness unto Light.
Lead me from death to Immortality.
- Mantra of the Upanishads
“When we live in darkness, our human life is a constant want.
When we live in Light, our divine life is a constant achievement.
Light in the physical is beauty.
Light in the vital is capacity.
Light in the mind is glory.
Light in the heart is victory.”
- Sri Chinmoy

Very cool pics, now I’m asking myself why I ever deleted pics that turned out like those when my digital camera refused to cooperate. Who am I kidding, my pics NEVER turned out like the ones you’ve posted. VERY COOL!

I am ever so glad you enjoyed the pictures… I took them on my way home from Karak, the city lights you see in some of the pictures are actually of the city of Karak. Digi cam stubornness can sometimes be useful I think.

Great photography!

I’ve got a stash of my own somewhere, but the server that I was hosting it on is no longer. Perhaps one of these days sift through it and undertake to upload the best of it to flickr or something for sharing.

Well-chosen quotes as well, I might add.
I like the pics … did you use a longer exposure for them? Well I’m guessing you did …

Gandhi, the camera’s batteries were starting to die, which meant that whenever I wanted to take a picture of a thing the camera would take it 1-2 seconds later and really slow. I think this explains the "length" of the cars’ lights in the images. I am not much of a photographer, nothing professional in my pictures I reckon, but luck can sometimes bless the most amateur.

See I’ve always wanted to take a long exposure photo … if you take a photo of the sky and the stars at night you’ll get a beautiful photo of the stars tracing out a movement and from Karak you should be able to get a perfect picture, you should look into it! Its "long exposure photography" I’ve seen a photo once of a long exposure of a few months where someone left a camera to exposure on the construction of a building from scratch!
