Wishing For a Transporter

In Bits & pieces on January 5, 2008 at 1:21 pm

Do you remember the transporter from Stark Trek? The teleportation machine that converts a body into energy and then beams it to its destination?

I was thinking today and I realized that the only way I will move from having red, peeled fingers to a happier place would be through the transporter.

I want to go from here:

To here:

Then I will go back to having this:

That’s my current wish in pictures. Yalla ashoof, new year fairy, make it come true. I know you won’t.

 1. The new Tololy’s box is lovely. The red and yellow on the old one were killing me :)

A fellow trekkie ! The last (and worst) Star Trek series (Enterprise) wasn’t too long ago, so I hope people still remember transporters.

If they could fit a transporter in a ring, it would definitely be the one in the last picture !
2. Salametek Tololy, I hope your fingers will get better soon. May I suggest using neosporin cream? I’m sure it will help.

Hani, there are site-to-site transporters the size of a car-remote used in Voyager against the Borg, so it’s possible to have tiny teleportation devices.

Sadly, all modern science can tell us is that they were able to teleport a photon. And even that sounds super stupid to anyone who hears it!

Transporters are all over in Stargate these days. Since most Earth ships have been retrofitted with Asgard teleportation devices so, sci-fi wise, teleportation devices are alive and kicking

(Sorry for the pretty geeky long comment)

 3. Lady relax, you need some chill pill. Bhoy someone is seriously STRESSED!

 4. Hey,,,

first time here,,,and I came to sea el " soba3 el Medo7es " in the library !!

Alf salama

 5. Thanks everyone.

 6. So, you don’t have the razor claws anymore, but with those rings, you could put a serious dent in someone’s face.

…

The Tololy(tm) remains as formidable as ever.
7. [...] I was just in Abdali at the post office there, sending a bunch of documents to Canada using their Express Mail Service. It was a cold day today so as usual my hands were freezing and purple with extremely red fingertips (for obvious reasons indicated in Wishing for a Transporter). [...]
