The above heading is misleading. improper and implies guilty connotations, usually the term is used for someone or sonething that deserves the end result due to own actions, far fom proved in this case.

Disgusted to say the least. Took the girl's family hours to reach a guilty verdict and carry it out. The husband to his credit thought for two weeks before dropping the new wife home. Forensics fresh from school can tell you that the sign of virginity(hymen) can be lost from playing sports or may be what is called elastic that it may remain till child birth. Amazing that the girl's family did not notice anything out of the ordinary for two weeks, don't they visit their girls nowadays after marraige, or don't they call at least? Could the groom had second thoughts after two weeks of honeymooning and decided that he don't want to be married after all and to avoid paying costly divorce come up with this charge? May be the brother had a troubling few weeks with his new wife and took his anger somewhere else? strike this stupid honour law , it is a witch hunt.

Oh yes I agree with you. I didn't mean it that way though, I meant that they just took the word of the husband to be the ultimate truth and just acted on it. That is not to say that if she indeed was having an affair or whatever that she should be killed. I didn't mean that at all, I should clarify in the post. Thanks for the remark!

Tololy, I'm surprised you bothered asking if the husbands doubts were accurate.
It's just not relevant since it wouldn't give them the right to drown her even if they were.
The most startling thing is the confidence of the murderer who took the body back to the police station.
