I had to bring my own power bar to work so that I'd have enough slots. I also added a 1GB RAM to my work PC (to make 2GB) which was sitting in my closet collecting dust.

on the bright side, they give us lockers with keys at work, so unless someone isn't going to go as far as burglarizing the locker (hasn't happened so far), all is well.

Hi Hatem,

The "being glued to the monitor" bit is an exaggeration for dramatic effect. It's just that I work online and my work demands that I use computers and the internet extensively. It's not like I'm a radar operator who has to watch a screen for blips all day :)

You are the second person to state that woking for this organization consists of sitting all day on the chair and monitoring something on the screen. What kind of blip are you monitoring? The only job I know of where people have to sit all the time and monitor a screen is Air Traffic Controllers. I'm almost sure that is not what you do,so what is it! I'm curious. I know it isn't any of my business, I'm more or less talking to my self and not necessarily expecting a reply to my query.
